It’s the one intangible quality no News Anchor or Host can fake! They either have it or they don’t.
Warmth.
Countless millions of dollars have been thrown away in just the last few years by the networks on big name talent who can’t deliver the eyeballs – because they don’t emanate warmth. Most TV executives can’t identify it – they just can’t. Clearly, their news consultants can’t perceive it because it can’t be quantified – warmth can’t be translated into data. That’s why so many warmth-impaired TV talent show up in your living room. And that’s why so many so-called “personality-driven” shows fail.
Warmth is elusive. Warmth can’t be manufactured. Viewers can identify warmth – and they don’t even realize they’re doing it. I’ve had a series of incredibly successful shows because I’m fortunate enough to be able to feel the warmth – or the lack thereof – in on-air talent.
It’s an affection that creates a connection between your on-camera talent and your viewers.
